DESCRIPTION:Well selection is an ongoing process\, everyone must be aware of it. \nCandidates in our ES discipline are reputed. I think it will be useful though. \nIn the recently held\, ESDAA Executive Committee meeting\, under the chairmanship of our President M. Anowar Hossain Bhai\, reassurance of all-out support was expressed to all ES candidates. \nThere are times when decisions and support take precedence over team opinion. DESCRIPTION:Dear all\, \nGreetings from the Executive Committee of the ESDAA! \nI am pleased to share that the General Meeting of the ESDAA took place on June 28th\, 2024\, in a hybrid format\, including both online and in-person participants. During the General Meeting (GM)\, in addition to presenting the Executive Committee’s activities and sharing the Financial Report\, the primary agenda was to facilitate the formation of the Election Commission. With active voting from the GM participants\, the Election Commission for the upcoming election has been established. The newly formed Election Commission comprises the following three members: \nElection Commission: \nChief Election Commissioner:  Kallol Biswas\, from the 2005 Batch of ESD\, KU \nMembers: \nMd Towhidul Hoq\, from the 2002 Batch of ESD\, KU \nMs. Nusrat Jahan\, from the 2006 Batch of ESD\, KU \nPlease note that the current Executive Committee will not undertake any activities other than supporting the Election Commission by providing relevant information as required. In addition to this support\, the current Executive Committee will act only in case of an emergency. The Election Commission is entirely independent and free to organize a fair\, inclusive\, and transparent election. \nIt is essential to transition the responsibilities to the next Executive Committee. Following the constitution\, the current Executive Committee hereby requests the Election Commission to proceed with their activities. The Communication Secretary from the Executive Committee will be in contact with the newly elected Election Commission to provide any necessary information and support. \nThrough this post\, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all ESDAA members. DESCRIPTION:Called as per the decision of the emergency meeting of Environmental Science Discipline Alumni Association.\nWe the ES family and the Khulna University family are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Mamunur Rashid (Mamun) Batch 98\, the beloved face of the Environmental Science discipline. Mamun is survived by his wife and two daughters. A delegation of Environmental Science Alumni Association met Mamun’s family at Azampur\, Uttara on 13.06.2023 to express their condolences to Mamun’s family and to know the overall condition of the family. On behalf of the Environmental Science Alumni Association\, the president of the association M. Anwar Hossain\, Legal Affairs Secretary Kaniz Fatema Papdi and Organizing Secretary Alamgir Kabir Shubo met Mamun’s family\, during which ES family expressed condolences to Mamun’s wife\, two daughters\, Mamun’s sister\, maternal uncle and younger brother (Masoom). . It should be noted that his wife has been suffering from cancer for the past one and a half years and her treatment is very expensive. \nDuring the meeting with the family\, reminiscences of the ES family with Mamun were discussed\, and above all the overall socio-economic situation of Mamun’s family. An emergency meeting of the ESDAA Executive Council was held on the follow-up to this meeting\, where the following decisions were taken after discussing the overall situation in detail. \n1. Cooperation and Sympathy: From the ESDAA delegation’s discussions with Mamun’s family\, their socio-economic status\, his family’s own views and subsequent discussions at the Executive Council meeting\, it was decided that ESDAA would immediately collect the funds and from this\, if there was any surplus after the cooperation of Mamun’s family\, A “welfare fund” will be formed with this as this is our first experience as an Alumni Association so that we can stand by the Alumni or Alumni’s family as soon as possible in case of such untoward incidents in the future. \n2: Maintaining contact and engagement: During the meeting of the ESDAA delegation\, all their phone numbers were provided to Mamun’s family. Through which any problems and needs of the family are requested to be reported without hesitation. In addition\, the members of the executive council decided to keep in touch with Mamun’s family on a regular basis\, and especially the legal affairs secretary Kaniz Fatema Papdi expressed the assurance of keeping in touch with Mamun’s wife. \nIt is decided to invite Mamun’s family to any ESDAA family function\, picnic\, iftar mahfil and any social activities. It was decided to add Mamun’s wife to the ESDAA Facebook group. \nFinally\, unanimously\, the ESDAA Executive Council assured to stand by Mamun’s family in any need. \nThose who want to help for the reasons mentioned above\, are requested to send the help to the following bank account and development number \nOn behalf of ESDAA\, we pray for the forgiveness of the departed soul. Happy Bengali New Year to all. \nCongratulations to all the proud graduates from Environmental Science Discipline (ESD) of Khulna University. Heartfelt congratulations and gratitude from the elected committee of the Alumni Association to all registered and unregistered members of the Alumni Association of ESD. \nOur ESD Alumni Association was formed on 9th April 2022 through a fair\, beautiful\, transparent\, participatory and technologically simple and successful election process. Although this path is not easy\, it has been formed through the sincere efforts and active participation of all. \nI extend my heartiest congratulations to all the elected representatives. There will be ups and downs in elections\, but the main thing is to participate in the elections and ensure a transparent process. So those who participated in this process but could not be selected this time\, their contribution is no less. I express my sincere congratulations\, sincere love and gratitude to them. I believe that since there is an effort for everyone to want to work\, they will also be successful\, opportunities will be created to work. \nOn behalf of the selected committee\, we would like to say that our only vow will be to work together and move forward for the welfare of the alumni. To this end\, we will endeavor to involve all\, take their valuable views seriously into action planning and continue to make all-out efforts in its implementation. As a first step towards accountability\, the Super Seventy Select Committee will initially announce the Action Plan for the next one year and thereafter the Action Plan for the full term with the intention of getting valuable input from all. Everyone’s cooperation will be greatly appreciated. \nWe are all aware that many graduates are not able to register due to various reasons. The selected committee will immediately take necessary steps to get all of them registered. With all we seek to work for the good of all – there is no substitute for the wholehearted cooperation of all. \nHeartfelt congratulations\, thanks and gratitude to the Election Commission- for gifting our long awaited Alumni Association Executive Committee by organizing and conducting beautiful\, transparent and successful elections with efficient\, strong and effective leadership. \nOn behalf of all the graduates and the selected committee\, I express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers of the discipline for their sincere cooperation.
